During my time in college, I had the opportunity to intern for the Major League Soccer (MLS) team FC Tulsa. As a Graphic Design Intern, I was able to sit in on internal meetings, develop and revise social advertisements, create my own line of merchandise, and even design an internal document/ style guide for the new interns that followed after me.

The ask:
This project I was tasked with was to create a line of merchandise to pitch in honor of the team's previous, but popular brand: the Tulsa Roughnecks. In order to do so, I played with a couple of moodboards. I wanted the brand to be remembered and brought up in a modern way vs the more nostalgic vision they had associated with them.

The process:
Part of this project was establishing what the final deliverable could potentially be. The only limitation I had to begin with was to have at least a logo tee to pair alongside my other design iterations. Here are a few design directions I decided to go down:

Ultimately, the team decided to go with creating the scarf, pennant, and logo tee (featured below from the team's Instagram.
I think this was a fun experience and definitely got me excited about developing my own clothing and merchandise, later on. I was also given the opportunity to create a social post promoting the items that I was able to design.
